An order book is a list that displays the buy and sell orders for an asset in vertical rows arranged from high to low price, also known as market depth. The order book reflects the trading intentions of both buyers and sellers in the market.
The YAX order book consists of the following parts: buy orders, sell orders, price levels, and the corresponding order sizes for each level.
The buy orders section lists all current unfilled buy orders, including price and the number of orders for each price level. The sell orders section lists all current unfilled sell orders, including price and the number of orders for each price level. The price levels in the order book are arranged from highest to lowest, with the highest asking price at the top of the order book and the lowest bidding price at the bottom. The highest bid and lowest ask prices (the best prices) are displayed in the center of the order book, and between these two prices, YAX also displays the last traded price and the estimated USD price for this price.
Each price level in the order book corresponds to a background bar. The background bar represents the cumulative depth (total order size) of bids or asks from the best price to the price level. Traders can use the background bar to compare the depth of buy and sell orders and to determine the trading intentions of buyers and sellers at each price level.
